Director / Mortgage Adviser
Ryan has worked in financial services since he was 18 years old. Working his way through various jobs within the banking industry he eventually went onto his first Mortgage advice role in 2013.
Before setting up Key Mortgages and Protection, later to become Key Mortgages, Ryan worked for a large mortgage broker firm where he won several awards for service and performance. Ryan felt that he could take the vast wealth of knowledge he had gained and make the process of getting a mortgage much easier and more personal for his clients. He therefore decided to set up his own company at the beginning of 2020, to make that difference for his customers.
Ryan was born in Nottingham and other than a few years away in Lincoln and Leicester has lived and worked here all his life. He is a keen footballer and golfer and loves to talk about all things travel related. He is very family orientated and loves to spend as much time as he can outside of work with his wife Katrina and their son Teddy, who arrived in 2022.
Daniel has worked in the financial services industry for several years and prior to this he worked in the Estate Agency sector so has helping people to move or purchase their new homes since 2016.
Before becoming part of the team at Key Mortgages in 2021 he worked at a large mortgage broker firm based within a busy estate agents office in Lincoln. There he gained a great deal of knowledge around helping clients to buy their dream home and getting them that all important mortgage offer sent out.
Having worked with Ryan before, Daniel couldn't wait to be a part of the Key Mortgages team and has since helped to set up the Key Mortgages Lincoln branch based at The Sparkhouse near Lincoln University. He is here as one of our experienced advisers to help and support our clients by giving them specialist advice and making sure they have a stress-free journey from start to finish.
At home Daniel is a bit of a ‘foodie’ and enjoys visiting local restaurants and eateries in Lincoln as well as finding new places to travel and explore with his partner.
Jane has worked within financial services her entire working life, starting in a couple of local building societies then moving into mortgage broking at age 20 and she hasn't looked back.
Prior to joining Key Mortgages Jane worked at an established local brokerage for four years and prior to that, thirteen years within a national estate agency group where she mentored many new advisers - including Ryan!
Whilst working locally to where she grew up in West Bridgford, in her time Jane has been based in numerous estate agency offices throughout the East & West Midlands, Kent, and Southeast London. Gaining a great knowledge of a range of client circumstances, property build types and mortgage options, it’s no surprise she was known as 'the oracle' in her previous job roles! And indeed within the Key Mortgages team too.
Away from the office Jane can be found riding her new forest ponies, which have been a lifelong passion. She openly states that they are the reason why she works and that they keep her sane! She also enjoys being in the kitchen as she is a keen baker and cook although she is a big fan of eating out too!
Joel has worked in the mortgage industry since he was 17 years old. Completing an apprenticeship in ‘providing financial services’. After achieving his apprenticeship, he became a case manager in a busy broker firm. His role included supporting advisers and clients throughout the mortgage process. During the covid-19 lockdown, Joel went on to complete his CeMap mortgage adviser qualification and moved into giving mortgage advice.
After a few busy years working for a brokerage in Derby, Joel moved to Sheffield to work as a mortgage adviser, specialising in shared ownership mortgages. This provided him with knowledge and experience to help clients to get onto the property ladder. Having known Ryan for several years and seeing the level of service Key Mortgages were able to provide to their clients, he was eager to join the team.
Joel was born in Nottingham and has worked around the area for most of his life. In his spare time, he is an avid golfer and enjoys watching football. When he’s not golfing, he likes to spend time socializing with his family or snuggling with his cat Pepper.
Ellie joined the Key Mortgages team in January 2021 having come to us with over three years of experience in a similar role, previously working in a large mortgage broker firm. Before this she had attended college where she studied Psychology, Sociology and Law.
Having now returned from maternity leave after the birth of her gorgeous little girl Francesca, Ellie has taken over the new role of office manager - leading the admin team by example and ensuring the smooth running of the office and all associated administration. Ellie is highly efficient in her managerial role and also acts as client manager to any of our clients who purchase a new build property which, although there is no chain, can often be complicated and sometimes take longer to complete.
Outside of the office Ellie spends much of her time with baby Francesca and fiancé Owen as well as taking her French bulldog Buddy for lots of walks but also enjoys eating out and meeting up with her friends and family.

In her spare time you will find Rebecca taking part in lots of fun activities with her two young children, as well as socialising with her friends and family. She loves to go on long walks exploring the local area as well as finding new eating places to visit and sample delicious food.
Cathy prides herself on her longstanding role as a customer service officer in the NatWest bank for 35 years before being made redundant in 2014.
After that she worked within the civil service before moving to Key Mortgages to work with Ryan in July 2020. Outstanding customer service has always been of the utmost importance to Cathy and her skills gained from working on the frontline at NatWest are invaluable to this business.
Cathy has been very flexible within a growing team and has embraced several job roles including social media guru and business development manager since joining Key Mortgages. Most recently she has moved back into her customer-service based client manager role to assist our clients through their home buying journey and beyond. She also loves to promote the company through various networking events in the local area.
Cathy enjoys time with her family in Nottingham, especially since the arrival of grandson Teddy who keeps her on her toes, and she loves to travel to visit her son in Australia and other family in France when time (and funds) allow.
